高分飞,医学博士,药理学教授。分别于德国波鸿鲁尔大学和美国圣约瑟夫医疗 中心巴罗神经学研究所进行访学和博士后工作,并被巴罗神经学研究所聘为客座 副教授。广东省 “扬帆计划”培养高层次人才。发表 SCI 收录论文 20 余篇,获得 过广东省科学技术奖二等奖和汕头市科技进步一等奖。

主要研究方向为神经药理学和中药,重点关注尼古丁受体在神经系统疾病中的作 用和从中药中发现新的药理作用。

Fenfei Gao, M.D., Professor of Pharmacology. He accomplished postdoc research from Barrow Neurological Institute, St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center, Phoenix, Arizona, USA, and was appointed as a visiting associate professor by this institute. He was a high-level talent of Guangdong Province "Sailing Plan" cultivating project. He has published more than 20 SCI papers, and won the second prize of Science & Technology Award of Guangdong Province and the first prize of Science & Technology Progress Award of Shantou City.

His research interests are neuropharmacology and TCM, focusing on the role of nicotine receptors in nervous system diseases and new pharmacological effects from Traditional Chinese medicine.

药理学 Pharmacology

药理学是汕头大学“十五”、“211”工程重点建设学科,广东省普通高校重点学科, 2001 年经国家学位委员会批准获得药理学硕士学位授予点,2005 年获得药理学 博士学位授予点,2009 年以药理学为基础设立汕头大学药学博士后科研流动站。 2018 年获得广东省药理学珠江学者岗位。

教研室现有教师 9 名,均具有博士学位,其中教授 5 名,副教授 2 名。学科目前 形成四个稳定的科研方向: 心血管药理学、中药药理学、神经药理和化疗药理学。 拥有分子生物学、细胞培养、电生理、细菌培养、中药提取等实验室, 配备了较 先进的电生理实验、分子生物学实验以及植物化学等科研仪器设备。

学科获得过国际 DEBIO-CCRF 中国奖二等奖、广东省科学技术奖二等奖、汕头 市科学进步奖一等奖等成果。获得过中央财政支持地方高校发展专项资金-药理 学广东省重点学科建设项目、国家自然科学基金-广东省自然科学基金联合资助 基金重点项目、国家新药基金项目、国家自然科学基金面上和青年基金项目、广 东省自然科学基金重点和面上项目、广东省科技计划等项目的资助。获得国家发 明专利 3 项,实用新型专利 2 项。发表科研论文数量及质量也不断提高。

Pharmacology Department is rated as a Key Discipline of the "Tenth Five Year Plan" in Shantou University, one of the key branches in Provincial "211" projects and a Key Discipline in General Colleges and Universities in Guangdong Province. The Master and Doctoral degree of pharmacology program were approved by the Academic Degree Commission of the State Council in 2001 and 2005, respectively. In 2009, the pharmaceutical postdoctoral scientific research mobile station of Shantou University was established based on pharmacology department. Our department was listed in the disciplines named to the 2018 Pearl River Scholar Position Program.

Currently, we have 9 full-time academic staffs in our department, all of whom holding Ph.D degrees, including 5 professors and 2 associate professors. Four main research directions have been established which are cardiovascular pharmacology, pharmacology in traditional Chinese medicine, neuropharmacology and pharmacology in chemotherapy. We have highly equipped laboratories for molecular biology, cell culture, electrophysiology, bacterial culture, and traditional Chinese medicine extraction.

Pharmacology Department was awarded the second-class reward of International Debio-CCRF China Award and Guangdong Science and Technology Award, the first prize of Shantou Science Progress Award and the others. Our department owned the Key Discipline Construction Project supported by the Special Funds from the central government to support the development of local colleges and universities - the Construction Project of Key Disciplines of Pharmacology in Guangdong Province. Our department obtained research funds from various funding bodies, including the State Key Program supported by the Joint Funds of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Natural Science Foundation of Guangdong Province, programs supported by the National New Drug Funding Project, the National Natural Science Foundation of China (General Program and Young Scholars), the Natural Science Foundation of Guangdong Province (General Program and Young Scholars), and the Science and Technology Program of Guangdong Province. Our department owns 3 national invention patents and 2 utility model patents. The quantity and quality of published scientific research papers have also been continuously improved.

导师简介 Biography:

单强教授在上海医科大学(现复旦大学上海医学院)获得学士学位,在澳大利亚 昆士兰大学获得博士学位。现实验室主要研究生理和病理条件下社交行为、行动 控制、学习和记忆的神经突触和环路机制; 以及离子通道的结构和功能。现招收 药理学和神经生物学的硕士和博士研究生 (方向:行为神经精神药理学、行为 的神经突触环路机制、离子通道分子药理学及生物物理学)

Prof. Qiang Shan obtained his Bachelor’s degree from Shanghai Medical University (currently Fudan University Shanghai Medical College), China, and his Phd degree from Queensland University, Australia. His lab investigates the synaptic and circuitry mechanisms underlying social behaviors, action control and learning and memory; and the structure and function of ion channels. He is currently recruiting Master’s and Phd students in pharmacology and neurobiology (directions: behavioral neuropsychopharmacology, synaptic and circuitry mechanisms underlying behaviors, and molecular pharmacology and biophysics of ion channels).

吴库生,医学博士,环境医学研究员,博士生导师。汕头市科技创新领军人才。

汕头市科协科技专家智库第三批入选专家。2016 年度广东省“扬帆计划”培养高 层次人才。曾两次(2007 年度及 2010 年度)获得"南粤优秀研究生"。近年来以第 一或通讯作者在国际有影响的学术期刊发表 SCI 收录论文 52 篇, 其中 IF>5 的 SCI 收录论文 13 篇。主持 国家 自然 科学 基 金、广东 省自 然科 学 基金 、广 东 省科 技计 划等 课题 十 余项 。先 后获得 2016 年广 东省 科学 技术 奖三 等奖 (第 三)、教 育部 高 等学 校科 学研 究优 秀 成果 科技 进步 奖二 等 奖(第 三)、 宁波 市科 学技 术奖 二 等奖 (第 二) 等。 担 任 BMC Public Health 杂志 编 辑及 Environment International 等多 家 国 、内 外期 刊的 审稿 人 。

Kusheng Wu, Ph.D, Professor of Environmental Medicine, Doctoral supervisor. He received the title of “Shantou Science and Technology Innovation Leader Talents” in 2021. He was the third batch of selected experts of Shantou Association of Science and Technology experts think tank. He has been selected as high-level talent in the 2016 Guangdong Province "Sailing Plan" cultivating project. He won the title of "Outstanding Graduate Student of Southern Guangdong" twice (2007 and 2010). In recent years, he has published 52 SCI papers in international academic journals as the first or corresponding author, including 13 SCI papers with IF>5. He has undertaken more than ten research projects with funding from the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Natural Science Foundation of Guangdong Province, Guangdong Science and Technology plan and others. He has won the third prize of Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Award in 2016, the second prize of Science and Technology Progress Award for Outstanding Achievements in Scientific Research of the Ministry of Education, and the second prize of Ningbo Science and Technology Award. He serves as an editor member of BMC Public Health and a reviewer for Environment International and other SCI journals.

His research interest is environmental epidemiology and environmental toxicology. Focused on:

1. Epidemiological and toxicological studies on exposure of environmental pollutants on health hazards of the population;

2. Toxicological mechanism and behavioral study of environmental pollution chemicals based on zebrafish model;

3. Study on the pathogenesis of environmental endocrine disruption chemicals/ environmental estrogens in breast cancer.

刘道军,1998 年毕业于北京大学化学与分子工程学院,获博士学位,其后分别于 瑞士 ETH、比利时 KULeuven 和美国 Texas A&M University 从事博士后和研究助 理工作。2004 年至今在汕头大学医学院任研究员,主要从事基于星形或刷状多 肽的高分子药物载体和基因载体以及抗菌肽/抗肿瘤肽研究工作。主持国家自然 科学基金 2 项,广东省自然科学基金研究团队项目 1 项,李嘉诚基金会交叉研究 项目合作人 1 项,发表 SCI 收录论文 50 余篇。

Daojun Liu obtained Ph D. from Peking University in 1998 and accomplished postdoc research from ETH, KULeuven, and Texas A&M. He became a professor at SUMC in 2004. His research interests are biomedical nanomaterials including polypeptide-based drug carriers,gene delivery, antibacterial and antitumor polypeptides. He has published more than 50 SCI papers.

倪文秀,博士,副教授、博士生导师、博士后合作导师, 汕头大学医学院药学系。 “广东特支计划”科技创新青年拔尖人才入选者(2017 年), 扬帆计划培养高层次 人才项目入选者(2017 年), 香港大学化学系访问副教授。博士毕业于香港城市 大学化学与生物系无机生物学专业, 主要从事 1)金属基抗肿瘤药物的合成及活 性研究; 2)光功能配合物的合成及其光诱导治疗等方面研究。近年来已获得一 项美国发明专利授权,在国际顶尖化学期刊 J. Ni Wenxiu, Ph.D., Associate professor, Ph.D. supervisor, Post-doctor supervisor, Department of Pharmacy. "Guangdong Special Support Program" for young top talents in science and technology innovation (2017), Yangfan Program to train high-level talents (2017), Visiting associate professor of the Department of Chemistry, University of Hong Kong. Graduated from the Department of Chemistry and Biology, City University of HongKong, majoring in Inorganic Biology. Her current research interests include 1) Synthesis and mechanism study of novel metal-based anticancer agents such as osmium, ruthenium, platinum complexes by using interdisciplinary approaches and methods in the areas of medicinal chemistry, molecular biology, and chemical biology; 2) Design and photochemical study of luminescent metal complexes. Utilization of luminescent inorganic complexes as bio-imaging reagents for the diagnosis and treatment of tumor. In recent years, she has obtained a US invention patent authorization and published more than 20 SCI papers in the top international journals, including J.

Am. Chem. Soc., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Chem. Sci. She has awarded one Chinese National Natural Science Foundation, four provincial science fund projects, and participated in a national key major research project, a Guangdong Major Project of Basic and Applied Basic Research.

吴杰教授是美籍华裔科学家,在美国凤凰城圣约瑟夫医疗中心巴罗(Barrow)神 经病学研究所从事研究工作 22 年,任神经生物学系教授,神经电生理实验室主 任。汕头大学医学院特聘教授,脑功能与疾病实验室主任。

吴杰教授在神经科学领域建树颇丰,尤其在尼古丁受体功能、药理学和病理生理 学以及癫痫作用机制方面有卓越的贡献。发表了 180 多篇(SCI)研究文章,引 用超过 5800 次,h-index 43。在他的研究生涯中,他曾获得过中国政府颁发的中 国自然科学奖(二等)、中国生理学会张希钧基金会优秀生理学论文奖(二等), 和广东省的多项奖项,并拥有 4 项美国专利和 4 项中国专利。吴杰教授具有 30 余年使用电生理技术的丰富经验,精通单细胞膜片钳,脑片膜片钳和脑片场电位 及整体麻醉动物的诱发电位和单细胞记录技术。另外还对急性分离神经元, 制备 脑片和各种膜片钳实验的给药系统有很深的造诣。

吴杰教授 1983 年毕业于徐州医学院, 1990 年毕业于中山医科大学获博士学位。 曾在日本东北大学和美国阿布奎克基大学分别做了 5 年博士后。自 1998 至 2020 年在美国 Barrow 神经病学研究所从事科研工作,任助理教授,副教授,2009 年 晋升教授。

Jie Wu, MD, PhD is a Distinguished Professor in Shantou University Medical College. Dr. Wu is graduated from Xuzhou Medical College (M.D., 1983,Xuzhou) and the Sun- Yat Sen University of Medical Sciences (Ph.D., 1990, Guangzhou, China) and did his postdoctoral training at Tohoku University (1993.2 to 1994.9, Japan) and The University of New Mexico University (1994.9-1997.9, USA). He was appointed as an Assistant Professor at The University of New Mexico University (1997-1998, USA), thereafter he moved to Barrow Neurological Institute (BNI, since 1998-present, USA) as an independent principal investigator (Assistant Professor) and was promoted to an Associated (2000) and full Professor (2009). Dr. Wu’s research is focused on nicotinic acetylcholine receptor function, pharmacology and pathophysiology, as well as epileptogenic mechanisms. His works have been funded by several NIH, Arizona State, Philip Morris External Grant and Barrow Neuroscience Foundation. He has published more than 180 peer reviewed research articles, which have been cited more than 5,900 and have H-index 43. During his research career, he has obtained several awards from Chinese Government, National Physiological Society and Guangdong Province.

汕头大学医学院和第一附属医院双聘教授。2015 年毕业于香港理工大学,获哲 学博士学位。主要研究方向为病原微生物感染与免疫、药物及相关快速检测技术 开发等。主持国家及市厅级项目 6 项,经费资助金额近 500 万元人民币,在mBio 、 Journal of Biological Chemistry、Bioelectrochemistry 和 Frontiers in Microbiology 等 SCI 期刊上上发表学术论文 30 余篇,申请国家专利 10 余项,并获得授权专利 2 项。另外,参与指导硕士和博士研究生 3 名。

Jiubiao Guo is a double-appointed professor of Shantou University School of Medicine and the First Affiliated Hospital. Dr. Guo graduated from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2015 with a doctorate degree in philosophy. His research is mainly focusing on pathogenic microbial infection and host immune response, drug and related

rapid detection technologies development. He has in charge of 6 national or departmental projects, with a funding amount of about 5 million yuan, published more than 30 academic papers in SCI journals such as mBio, Journal of Biological Chemistry, Bioelectrochemistry and Frontiers in Microbiology, and have applied for more than 10 China patents, two of them have been authorized. In addition, he has participated in the supervision of three master's and doctoral students in the past years.

孙源,2020 年 10 月毕业于荷兰鹿特丹伊拉斯姆斯大学,获药理学博士。2022 年 9 月起,加入汕头大学医学院,任临床医学研究中心特聘教授。主要研究方向为 高血压、糖脂代谢紊乱发生机制及防治药物开发。 曾获美国心脏协会 New Investigator Travel Award 、Paul Dudley White International Scholar、国家自费留学 生奖学金等荣誉。 以第一/共一作者在 Circulation Research 、 Hypertension 、 Pharmacological Research 、Biomaterials 等专业杂志上发表论文 10 篇。2020 年于 Hypertension 杂志发表的论文曾入选美国心脏协会 2020 年夏季高影响论文,并 受 Hypertension 杂志邀请接受 Twitter chat 线上采访。主持国家自然科学基金项 目 1 项,省市厅级项目 3 项。参与培养博士研究生 4 名,硕士研究生 1 名。

Yuan Sun is a distinguished Professor jointly appointed by Shantou University School of Medicine and the First Affiliated Hospital of Shantou University School of Medicine. Yuan obtained her Ph.D degree in pharmacology from Erasmus University Rotterdam in Oct 2020. Dr. Sun has been focused on understanding the pathogenesis of cardiovascular diseases (CVD) and identifying novel therapeutic targets for CVD. In the past five years, Dr. Sun has published 10 articles in internationally refereed journals, including Circulation Research, Hypertension, Pharmacological Research, and Biomaterials. Her work, entitled “Megalin: a novel endocytic receptor for prorenin and renin” was selected as “High impact paper in Hypertensin for Summer of 2020” by American Heart Association (AHA). She has received several awards, including the AHA New Investigator Travel Award, Paul Dudley White International Scholar and Chinese government award for outstanding self-financed students abroad. She received one National Science Foundation grant and three provincial or municipal grants. She is co-supervising four PhD and one master students.

导师简介 Biography:

汕头大学医学院/汕头大学医学院第一附属医院特聘教授。2014 年毕业于荷兰鹿 特丹伊拉斯姆斯,获博士学位。2014 年 11 月至 2021 年 08 月在深圳大学医学部 工作,历任讲师、副教授。2021 年 09 月至 2022 年 08 月在深圳技术大学药学院 工作,任药理学教授。2022 年 09 月起在汕头大学医学院工作。主要研究方向为 胆固醇代谢调控分子机制、V-ATPase 在代谢调控中的作用、以及代谢紊乱性疾 病防治药物的开发。主持国家级项目 3 项,其它省、市、厅级等各类项目 6 项, 总经费金额达 700 余万元人民币。在 Circulation Research、Nature Communications、 Organic Letters、Biomaterials、Pharmacological Research、Frontiers in Cardiovascular Medicine 等一流学术期刊上发表论文 30 余篇,申请并获得国家发明专利授权 1 项。指导硕士研究生 7 名,博士研究生 7 名。

Xifeng Lu is a distinguished Professor jointly appointed by Shantou University School of Medicine and the First Affiliated Hospital of Shantou University School of Medicine. Xifeng Lu was awarded a PhD degree in pharmacology by Erasmus University Rotterdam in Jan 2014. After his PhD, Dr. Lu worked as postdoc fellow at Erasmus Medical Center (EMC, Rotterdam) and Academic Medical Center (AMC, Amsterdam) until he joined Shenzhen University. Dr. Lu served as assistant professor and associate professor at Shenzhen University Health Science Center during Nov 2014 and Aug 2021. From Sep 2021, Dr. Lu served as Professor in Pharmacology at Shenzhen Technology University until he joined Shantou University School of Medicine in Sep 2022. The research of Xifeng focused on elucidating the role of Vacuolar H+-ATPase in metabolic control, identification of novel regulators in cholesterol metabolism, and developing drugs or other therapeutic ways to treat metabolic diseases. Xifeng received 3 grants from NSFC and 6 others grants from Guangdong Province or Shenzhen Municipal, which amounted to more than 7 million RMB. Xifeng has authored more than 30 articles in top-class journals such as Circulation Research, Nature Communications, Organic Letters, Biomaterials, Pharmacological Research, and Frontiers in Cardiovascular Medicine. Till now, Xifeng has supervised/co-supervised 7 master students and 7 PhD students.

Dr. Muhammad Shafiq(穆罕默德·沙菲克博士)是广东汕头大学医学院临床药学 研究所的高级研究员,专注于抗微生物耐药性(AMR)在人类、动物和环境中的 研究。他获得了中国南京农业大学基础兽医学博士学位, 并完成了细胞生物学与 遗传学的博士后研究。沙菲克博士的研究涵盖临床微生物学、基因组学和环境健 康领域,对全球抗药性机制的理解作出了重要贡献。

沙菲克博士的研究着眼于揭示抗生素耐药性机制及耐药病原的基因组特征,尤其 是在临床和环境领域。他采用“一体化健康”框架,认为人类、动物和环境健康密 切相关,抗微生物耐药性问题需要综合应对。研究重点包括以下三个方面:

1. 临床耐药基因组:识别和理解临床环境中的耐药病原。

2. 动物健康:研究抗药性在动物与人类之间的传播。

3. 环境影响:研究医院和城市废水系统中的抗生素和耐药污染物的命运。

沙菲克博士已获得多个重要研究资助,包括汕头大学医学院 40 万元的项目资助 以及国家自然科学基金(NSFC)的资助。他的研究成果已在多个高影响力学术 期刊上发表,已发表 SCI 论文 50 多篇,获得 600 多次引用,H 指数为 15。沙菲 克博士还担任多个国际期刊的审稿人和编辑工作。

目前,沙菲克博士的研究目标是建立全国性的抗微生物耐药性监测网络,追踪抗 药性趋势并识别潜在的传染病爆发。此外,他还致力于推动抗微生物药物管理, 倡导在临床和农业中合理使用抗生素,减少抗药性问题。

Dr. Muhammad Shafiq is a Senior Researcher at Shantou University Medical College in Guangdong, China, specializing in antimicrobial resistance (AMR) with a focus on human, animal, and environmental health. He holds a Ph.D. in Basic Veterinary Medicine from Nanjing Agricultural University, China, and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Cell Biology & Genetics. His research lies at the intersection of clinical

microbiology, genomics, and environmental health, contributing significantly to the global understanding of AMR.

Dr. Shafiq’s work focuses on elucidating the mechanisms behind antibiotic resistance and the genomic profiling of resistant pathogens, particularly in clinical and environmental settings. He employs a One Health approach, recognizing the interconnectedness of human, animal, and environmental health in the spread of antimicrobial resistance. This framework has shaped his research, which spans three key areas:

1. Clinical Resistomes: Identifying and understanding resistant pathogens in clinical settings.

2. Animal Health: Studying the transmission of AMR between animals and humans.

3. Environmental Impact: Investigating the fate of antibiotics and resistant pollutants in hospital and urban wastewater systems.

Dr. Shafiq has secured several prestigious research grants, including a 400,000 yuan project funded by Shantou University Medical College, and a National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) grant. His work has been published in top-tier journals, and he has authored over 50 SCI papers with more than 600 citations and an H-index of 15. He also serves as a reviewer and editor for high-impact journals in the field, including those published by Elsevier, MDPI, Wiley, and Springer.

His current research aims to establish a nationwide AMR surveillance network to track resistance trends and identify potential infectious disease outbreaks. Additionally, Dr. Shafiq is committed to advancing antimicrobial stewardship, promoting responsible antibiotic use in both clinical and agricultural settings to combat AMR.

Dr. Shafiq invites PhD and Master's students passionate about antimicrobial resistance and bioinformatics to join his research team. Students will have the opportunity to engage in cutting-edge research, gain experience in advanced genomic techniques, and contribute to solving one of the most urgent global health threats.

We pursue an exploration of the mechanisms of nuclear receptors-mediated transcriptional regulation of genes that encode drug metabolizing enzymes and drug transporters, and implications of this regulation in xenobiotic homeostasis and virus associated cancers and clinical practice. Our works have been funded by two Chinese National Natural Science Foundation, Four Guangdong Natural Science Foundation, One Guangdong Provincial Science and technology Program, etc. We have published more than 40 SCI papers.
